How Did It Come About?

Depending on the needs of IoT service, you can choose from endless options to wirelessly connect the Internet of Things. However you must compromise on your priorities. For example, is fast data rate most important for your service? Or long range? How about power consumption or security?

However applications communicating using LoRa technology must use LoRaWAN network, which is public infrastructures built and managed by network operators. This means stability, flexibility, and security of your IoT service will be dependent on the mercy of the network operators. Your data will be shared on the network operator's servers, and you also have to pay recurring subscription (usage) fees. And LoRaWAN network is not available in most areas in the USA.
